HYPER-INFLATION IN NIGERIA

Feeling tasty this afternoon, I stopped by a woman shop to buy a bottle of water. Handed over a N200 note to her and she gave me N150 change.

I returned N50 to her thinking it was a mistake. She said she sold her bottle of water for N50 against N70 and N100 most people sell.

I asked her if she makes interest because according to popular belief, the price of bottled water had been increased at manufacturing companies. She said they only added N50 to the pack and she still sees her gain if she sells for N50 and her conscience won’t allow her to sell for N100.

The truth is, Nigerians are the problem of this hyperinflation. Everyone is just taking advantage of everything and increasing prices just because the consumer has no choice. I wish we have many people like this woman. She deserves commendation and patronage.
